Hi Jiri
i have the templates installed on my solarwinds box and the templates are backing up my running configs perfectly, all of which are version 10. (something, various flavours) , i also have the template for v11 installed to ready to change when we upgrade this month.......i revert back to my question i want to test one of the running config files i back up daily on a vm to see exactly what it doesnt back up i.e the 10%???maybe it backs up my box perfectly i.e all virtual servers/pools/irules/ etc etc
my email is jamie_mccluskey@hotmail.com , feel free to give me step by step instructions to import one of my backed up running configs on the test vm to see what it backs up
p.s the solarwinds support engineer explained to me the issue backup up .ucs file as opposed to text i.e for example a cisco running config...does thus change when u upgrade the F5s to v11, does it back up them up completely because its binary or am i gettign confused
many thanks
Jamie
p.s so what exactly is the running config file backing up knowing the limitations with ucs file?
