Dear Community,

Real Time Change detection Notification is one of the hot discussion in Solarwinds Community form. There are 5 simple steps you need to follow from the NCM settings. But I thing which I could not find that how to know the Login Credential about the person who make the Changes. Is there any Configuration Setting in RTCN which can give information about the Username also?

Like the person who is login to device directly or via Tacas/Radius and make the change and exit. This is important to know who do the change rather then the information that change has been done.

Step 1:  Manually configure your devices to send syslog or trap messages

Step 2:  Configure Alerts and filters triggered by:

•  Syslog Messages (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Syslog and SNMP Traps > Syslog Viewer)

Go to the "View" menu and select "Alerts / Filter Rules"

Select NCM Rule: Cisco IOS Real Time Change Notification (Edit and in Alert Action Executive the program. Please see attached snap.)

Step 3:  On the Config Changes page:

Step 4:  On the Config Downloads and Notifications Settings page:

Step 5:  Enter NCM SMTP
Step 6:  Enable Real-Time Config Change Notifications

Please assist to find out how we can Configuration Real Time Change Notification by following above step and get information about the Username. Also

see the attached file for the RTCN and advice its is correct.

Thanks,
