NCM - execute script notifications

to start off, here is how we have NCM setup today:

4 people using the system. their ActiveDirectory linked accounts are all Administrators. 3 of these people (including myself) also need to submit changes for Cisco devices.

We do this by creating an 'execute script' job. however, because we are administrators, it doesn't wait for approval, it just goes. To get around this we've made non-AD accounts.

for instance: if I need to administer stuff i login as 'DOMAIN\user123'. if I want to submit a change, I login with the (local) less-privledged account 'user123'. now, when i submit an execute script change my manager sees them from his administrator-rights domain account and approves said changes.

is there a way we can configure e-mail notification for script submitters? the issue being i want to know WHEN he actually approves it without having to come into the GUI and try to dig it out of the list of other execute scripts. the only way to do that is to sort by date and start looking as they all simply say 'execute script'. these scripts are never the same, they are any sort of configuration changes that we simply just want to go through a change-control process. I can't find anywhere to setup an e-mail address on my less-privledged account to even start this process however.

I read somewhere you can setup notifications for pre-built scripts (I might be thinking of change templates..), but simply put no change is ever the same (that i've encountered), so that doesn't seem to be the way to go. DO i maybe make a general execute script template that is blank, one template each for each submitting user, and we setup the notifications on those? then every time we use them we just edit the script portion of the template?

we are on NCM version 7.3. I didn't setup this system, the guy who did is away on training this week so i was trying to figure this out while he was gone.

thank you in advance!

Eric
