Down arrow after entering the username

Hi,

Is it possible to configure a Device Type to ${DOWNARROW} if, after entering the username, the prompt does not change?

I am running some Nortel 470-48T devices, some of them automatically change to the password prompt after putting in the username, some of them are on an older version of software that does not change.

Any help much appreciated,
