SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager v7.1.1 HF1
Hotfix 1 corrects the following behavior:
- The config diff report is unreadable when a config back-up job sends the report as HTML.
This hotfix requires Orion NCM version 7.1.1
Note: If you are running NCM on Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7, install the hotfix from an account that has administrator privileges.
To install this hotfix:
On the main NCM server host:
- Shutdown the Orion NCM desktop application and the SolarWinds Information Service (Administrative Tasks > Services).
- Extract files from the archive to an accessible directory.
- Back-up CirrusSWExports7.dll (for example, as CirrusSWExports7.dll.bak) in the NCM installation directory (by default C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM):
You can find the exact location of the NCM installation directory in the registry: HKLM\Software\SolarWinds.Net\Configuration Management - InstallDirectory - Replace CirrusSWExports7.dll in NCM install directory with the version extracted from the archive.
- Restart the SolarWinds Information Service.
If you have an NCM additional poller, then you must complete the same installation steps on that host.
To uninstall this hotfix:
Note: If you are running NCM on Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7, uninstall the hotfix from an account that has administrator privileges.
- Shutdown the Orion NCM desktop application and the SolarWinds Information Service (Administrative Tasks > Services).
- Restore the backed-up version CirrusSWExports7.dll to the NCM installation directory.
- Restart the SolarWinds Information Service.
