Just Implemented NCM - What now?

I started with a new company a few months ago.  We are using NCM, IPAM, Server & Application  Monitor, and NetFlow.  We just purchased and installed NCM.  Last time I used NCM, I had to make changes by logging on to the actual server and going into the app itself.  Now, it looks like NCM is totally configurable via the Orion GUI.  How do i get started?  It looks like I need to do a discovery and actually put some credentials on my devices so NCM can log onto them and pull configs and such.  Am I on the right track here/
