Since moving to SNMP v3 I'm having issues when I try to inventory a test switch. The switch I'm testing with is in NPM with SNMP v3 and it works perfectly. Our SNMP is set for SHA1 and AES 256. Password length is only 10 characters.
In NCM I am able to pull the running configuration from the test switch.
When I go to our Orion server and open the Network Configuration Manager, I see the test switch in the node list. If I right click on it and select 'inventory selected nodes' the Device Inventory Status window pops up, but it quickly stops and says 'Does not respond to SNMP queries'.
When I try the exact same thing with a switch using SNMP v2c (just a community string) it works without any problems.
Is there a setting or configuration somewhere in NCM that I'm missing to make this work?
I dug around the forums but couldn't find anything.. if I missed a link somewhere, please let me know!
