Re: Scripting noob question

Not really sure about that...

When I add a new script, I just type it all out as I would CLI, and then, on the last line/command, I just hit enter again to make a new line at the end of the script.

It is not very pretty, and, as I do not know the various devices you have in your environment, or how they accept commands, I just made a quick compliance report that looks for EXACTLY what you typed in op.

If those commands/lines are not found in the latest config backup, exactly how they are listed above/in the report rule, then the device will be considered in violation of that rule, and will off you the option to apply a fix.

After you download/import the compliance report (if you want to, of course), I would recommend you browse through each of the 3 steps of the report, and verify/adjust the settings to your needs.

The compliance reports can definitely make simple tasks even more simple. Plus, after you fix all your devices/configs, those reports will let you know if you have any devices that need to be adjusted in the future.

Sorry I didn't have a more helpful answer for the last question.

I hope you find what you are looking for.
