Here are some paths you can follow, and some ideas you can verify, to see what might have been missed or built incorrectly:
- Remember that logging in as Administrator instead of as a "normal" user can give you access to many more areas of control
- From the main NCM web page, after logging in as Administrator, go to Settings in the upper right. Then click on NCM Settings. Under "Manage Notifications" check all the data there to ensure it's accurate; typos here are not your friends. Save any corrections/changes.
- Next click on SMTP Server Settings and verify the info there is good.
- From NCM's front page, click on the Configs tab, then click on Jobs. This is one spot where you may see a big difference in Jobs that can be selected/edited depending on your login.
- Each job you expect to run should show "Running" or "Scheduled" for starters. If it says "Disabled", that's a problem easily remedied.
- Look for a Job that should e-mail you results when it completes running. Verify the job is actually scheduled to run sometime in the near future.
- Click on an Enabled job that should be e-mailing you. Click "Next" two times to get to the "Enter Notifications Details" page.
- If everything on this page is correctly filled out, is there a check mark in the area for "Only e-mail results if this Job encounters an error during execution"? If you check that, you won't get any results if there are no errors.
- Still on that same page, notice the Authentication drop-down. Some mail servers may require authentication for users to send mail. If yours does, select password and fill in the necessary information.
- Click next and select any options you wish to use.
- Click next and review it all.
- Click Back to change something, or click Finish.
