I'm relatively new to the NCM Policy Report solution... I work on the design / build side of the house for our network group. I believe that NCM can save us a significant amount of time in the turn over of projects to our network operations group. Today they have to review each switch, router, firewall, etc. configuration manually that we build to make sure a list of about 30 items are correctly configured (NTP settings, clock settings, logging, etc.). The set of parameters are the same for each class of device (L2 switch, L3 swtich, router, etc.).
I've created a set policy reports with a set of rules that ensure our builds comply with the standards for each of our class of devices. We don't want this report run against every device in that class every day. Rather, we need to be able to select the device (or the device's most recent configuration) and run the report on demand... for just that one device.
I've been unable to find a way do allow my network operations team to run our report against a single device on demand? Is there a clean way to do this?
