Hey there!
We have a Citrix NetScaler in production that we need to purge the cache on every time we do a roll for our SharePoint sites. The CLI command is very cut and dry, and super simple to copy / paste into an SSH session, but because this is a production environment we do not want to just hand over the keys to the kingdom to our Development team to muck around with our production load balancers every time they have a roll.
We can make a Job / script to run on the node in solarwinds, but the problem we run into is when an account that is locked down to just the NetScaler node they have access to run every script we created and there is no current way to filter the scripts to a particular node. Last thing we want is someone clicking the wrong box and a bunch of commands are run on our production load balancer that could cause an issue. Talked with solarwinds support and there is now a feature request to have Jobs locked down to specific nodes, not sure how long that will take to be baked in. Until that has been implemented we are looking at possibly using Config Change Templates to accomplish this. We created a profile that is locked down and it appears to be set up on the account just fine, we can get to the point where the locked down account is ready to run a change template on the NetScaler node, but we need to make a custom Config Change Template. The language is not something I'm familiar with... and really all we want to do is dump a bunch of the following into the CLI:
expire cache contentGroup SharePoint_Object1
expire cache contentGroup SharePoint_Object2
expire cache contentGroup SharePoint_Object3
ect...
Is this possible using a Config Change Template? And to make it so this is restricted to the specific Citrix NetScaler nodes?
Thanks!
